A response to untold stories

Up the river, carvings depict figures with hands in their mouths and around their tongues - I was told this reflects the idea of "holding your tongue" or holding onto your stories.  If anyone should tell them it should be the people that own them. 

These waha works revealed themselves right at the end. They are the primal response to all the information I had "downloaded" in the first prints. They are the back story, the reverse, they reveal what's underneath and behind, they are ghosts of the past ever present. 

Mua ki muri - to look back is to look forward.
